I wrote my PhD in the department of Culture, Media and Creative Industries, at King's College London. My study focused on the tension between creativity and management, and concentrated in particular on the question of how the business narrative of The Next Big Thing has constrained, enabled and motivated creativity, in the global format TV industry and market.
